하늘로 돌아가면.....
귀천(歸天) Back to Heaven

나 하늘로 돌아가리라.
새벽빛 와 닿으면 스러지는
이슬 더불어 손에 손을 잡고,
나 하늘로 돌아가리라.
노을빛 함께 단 둘이서
기슭에서 놀다가 구름 손짓하면은,
나 하늘로 돌아가리라.
아름다운 이 세상 소풍 끝내는 날,
가서, 아름다웠더라고 말하리라.....
I'll go back to heaven again.
Hand in hand with the dew
that melts at a touch of the dawning day,
I'll go back to heaven again.
With the dusk, together, just we two,
at a sign from a cloud after playing on the slopes,
I'll go back to heaven again.
At the end of my outing to this beautiful world,
I'll go back and say: It was beautiful......

어제 시 ‘귀천’을 읽으면서
내 마음에 일어나는 따뜻한 물결;
뜨거운 눈물이 눈가를 젺셨다.
While I was reading the poem “Back to Heaven” yesterday,
In my heart, warm waves rolled;
Hot tear dewed on my eyes.
평생을 가난과 고난을 살았지만
언제나 인생을 행복하게 노래하고 시를 썻다:
아이들이 뛰놀고 웃고 재잘거리는 소풍처럼
Though Cheon’ whole life was in poverty and suffering,
He always sang and wrote his life as happy:
Children play, laugh, and chatter in outings.
이 거친 세상에서 우리는 어떻게 소풍처럼 살수 있을까?
우리는 어떻게 날마다 소풍을 떠날 수 있을까?
어떻게 우리는 인생의 고생을 노래하고 즐길 수 있을까?
How can we live as if taking an outing in the wild world?
How can we leave for an outing every day?
How can we sing and enjoy the hardships of life?
“수고하며 무거운 짐을 진 사람은
모두 내게로 오너라.
내가 너희를 쉬게 하겠다.
나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니,
내 멍에를 메고 나한테 배워라.
그리하면 너희는 마음에 쉼을 얻을 것이다.
내 멍에는 편하고, 내 짐은 가볍다.”
(마태복음 11:28-30, 새번역)
“Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30, NIV)
다시 하늘로 돌아갈 사람들,
하늘로부터 왔던 이들
새로운 피조물, 이 땅에서 다시 태어난 사람들,
그들의 길이 소풍 길인 것을…
Those who will go back to heaven again,
Persons who came from heaven,
New Creations, people born again on the earth,
their way is the ‘outing’ way…
우리는 여전히 삶의 염려와 무거운 짐을 져야 하고
우리는 여전히 고통스런 가슴 안고 신음해야 합니다.
그렇지만 우리는 여전히 미래를 향해 가고 있습니다.
우리는 여전히 하늘을 향해 걸어가고 있습니다.
그래서 이 세상의 고통스런 삶은 과거로 사라지고
우리의 미래, 하늘이 우리의 새 삶이 됩니다.
We are still weary and burdened in life.
We are still groaning in the anguish of our heart.
But we are still going toward the future.
We are still going to heaven.
Therefore, our painful life in the world has gone;
Our future, our heaven becomes our new life.
이 거친 세상으로 떠나왔던 우리의 소풍이 끝나는 날
나도 하늘로 되돌아가 말하겠습니다: 소풍, 아주 좋았다고…
At the end of my outing to this wild world
I'll go back to heaven and say as well: It was beautiful......
